Cabbage Red each

Origin -

Its normal for red cabbage to turn blue when cooking, but if you want to keep the red colour you can add some vinegar or another acidic ingredient to the pan. Red cabbage stores fresher for longer than white cabbage. It is most commonly pickled, but its also really nice raw, try it grated in a salad with carrot and a little bit of vinaigrette. Another great way to eat red cabbage is shredded into a stir-fry, or braised with onion and red wine.
